1. The St. Regis Mexico City
I haven’t stayed overnight at the St. Regis Mexico City yet, but it’s definitely on my list for the future. While it’s a bit beyond my budget right now, I did get a glimpse into this incredible hotel during a high tea I attended at their restaurant. What stood out most was how pet-friendly the experience was. Not only were dogs allowed, but Puglo was treated like a VIP.
He had his own butler who served him dog-friendly champagne and even serenaded him with a saxophone. It was one of those unforgettable moments where he truly felt like the main character. You can see more of that experience in the video below.
The St. Regis offers a full range of amenities for pets that go far beyond what most luxury hotels provide. According to their website, pets receive a plush bed, bowls, and welcome treats. There are designated walking areas, and the staff is happy to help with anything you or your pet might need during your stay. 2. Casa Nuevo Leon
We stayed one night at Casa Nuevo Leon and were happy with how pet-friendly it felt. The rooms are spacious and thoughtfully designed, blending boutique charm with comfort. Located right next to Parque México, it was a perfect spot for Puglo to enjoy early morning strolls right outside our door.
This boutique gem in Condesa offers just 14 rooms, so service feels personal. Staff were warm, attentive, and quick to greet us and Puglo by name. We appreciated the in-room perks like a mini fridge, electric kettle, plush linens, and a large bathroom stocked with extra toiletries.
They welcome one or two dogs per room without fuss, and there’s just a small pet fee of 15 USD, significantly easier on the wallet than luxury stays. The one downside is that the hotel is located above a restaurant and bar. While this gives it a lively energy and easy access to food and drinks, it can get a little loud at night. If you are a light sleeper or need to be up early, it is something to keep in mind.
What makes this hotel stand out for me is the location and layout: wake up, walk right into Parque México, then come back to relax on a cozy terrace with a coffee. As someone who values convenience and atmosphere, Casa Nuevo Leon hit the sweet spot for a night in CDMX with Puglo.
3. Nido Parque Mexico
With a name like Nido Parque México, you really can’t go wrong if you’re looking for a pet friendly place in Mexico City. What makes it even better is that these are actually serviced apartments rather than hotel rooms, which gives you more space and flexibility when traveling with a pet.
We ended up staying here after an unexpected travel disruption when Puglo was denied boarding on a flight. It turned out to be a great find, and we felt lucky to have landed somewhere so welcoming during a stressful moment.
The staff was kind and understanding, and they made check-in easy. There was just a modest pet fee of 10 dollars a day, which felt reasonable given the location and comfort of the space. We booked a studio apartment that had plenty of room for both of us. The large bed was comfortable, and the living area, kitchen, and private balcony overlooking Parque México made it easy to settle in and feel at home.
What I loved most about Nido Parque México was the design and location. The interiors have a clean, modern style with lots of natural light, and the furniture is simple but thoughtfully chosen. Being right across from Parque México meant we could step outside and be in one of the best green spaces in the city for dog walks within seconds. The neighborhood is full of cafes, shops, and tree-lined streets, so it’s ideal if you want to explore Condesa with your dog. I would absolutely stay here again, even without a travel hiccup forcing my hand.
4. Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City
The Four Seasons is another bucket list pet stay that I haven’t been able to experience with Puglo yet, but it’s high on my list for the future. This is one of those hotels that doesn’t just allow pets, they go out of their way to make sure they feel just as welcome as you do. From the moment you arrive, they treat your pet to handmade welcome biscuits, crafted by the hotel’s pastry team. They also provide a cozy bed and bowls so your dog or cat can settle in comfortably.
One of the things that stands out about the Four Seasons is the level of service they offer for pet owners. The concierge team is happy to provide recommendations for pet friendly walks and places nearby, so you can explore the city without worry. They also offer pet sitting on request, which is a nice option if you want to check out a restaurant or museum that doesn’t allow pets.
The hotel allows both dogs and cats, as long as they’re fully vaccinated. There’s no mention of a size restriction, but they do limit it to one pet per room. For anyone looking to splurge on a truly special stay in Mexico City that welcomes pets with open arms, the Four Seasons is hard to beat.
5. JW Marriott Hotel Mexico City Polanco
The JW Marriott in Polanco is a great choice if you are looking for an upscale stay in one of Mexico City’s most polished and walkable neighborhoods. I have not stayed here with Puglo yet, but it is high on my list. The hotel is located close to some of the city’s most iconic spots, including Paseo de la Reforma, Lincoln Park, and Chapultepec Park. It offers the kind of refined experience you would expect from a JW Marriott, with the bonus of being pet friendly.
One of the things that makes this area so appealing for pet owners is how easy it is to get outside and explore. Polanco has wide sidewalks, leafy streets, and plenty of pet friendly cafes and patios.
The hotel allows pets including dogs, cats, birds, and even fish. There is a fee per night per pet, and they allow one pet per room with a maximum weight of 20 kilograms. Service animals are welcomed without additional fees. Guests consistently mention how attentive and kind the staff are to both them and their pets, making this hotel feel welcoming rather than just ticking a pet friendly box.
6. Nido Condesa
Staying at Nido Condesa is perfect for anyone who loves Condesa’s charm. These modern aparthotel studios are flooded with natural light, feature thoughtful design, and provide enough room to settle in without feeling cramped. The clean lines, neutral tones, and bespoke furnishings make it feel more like a well-styled apartment than a generic hotel room.
We stayed in a studio that included a comfortable king‑size bed, a living area with a smart TV and workspace, and a fully equipped kitchen. The private balcony overlooked the property’s garden area, which offered a peaceful view and a convenient spot for early‑morning coffee before heading out. The layout gave Puglo space to stretch out and me room to prepare meals or work when needed.
Location is key here. Nido Condesa is just a few blocks from Parque México, so morning dog walks were effortless, and those walks are some of my favorite routines in CDMX. The neighborhood itself is alive with tree‑lined streets, cafes, boutiques, and galleries, all within easy reach.
7. Condesa DF
Condesa DF is one of those hotels that perfectly reflects the vibe of the neighborhood: stylish, creative, and pet friendly. I’ve visited with Puglo while working nearby, and every time I’m there, I can picture us staying. The design blends modern touches with the charm of a 1920s building, with clean lines, neutral tones, and handcrafted details that give it a warm but artistic feel.
What I really appreciate about Condesa DF is how much they embrace pets. They allow up to two dogs of any size, or a dog and a cat, and they provide food and water bowls so you can settle in without extra hassle. The location couldn’t be better if you’re visiting Mexico City with a dog. It’s right on Avenida Veracruz, steps from Parque México and Parque España. These parks are some of my favorite spots to walk Puglo, and it’s so easy to pop out for a stroll at any time of day. 8. Roma Norte Trendy Apartments
Staying at Roma Norte Trendy Apartments was one of the first long-stay experiences I had in Mexico City, and it really set the tone. I spent a week here with friends, and we all loved how well-designed the apartments are.
These spaces lean into modern boho chic, with an open layout, natural light, rattan accents, and warm textiles that balance comfort with style. The fully equipped kitchenette and living area made it easy to cook, work, and unwind – everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Roma Norte is a fantastic neighborhood to explore with your dog. The streets are pedestrian-friendly, lined with trees and buzzing with cafes, taco stands, art galleries, and boutiques. While it’s not as immediately adjacent to green spaces as Condesa, lovely walk routes and dog-friendly patios are still within reach. A short stroll or ride will get you to Parque España or the shared areas across Condesa.

You get a modern home base with space to breathe, cook, work, and of course, live alongside your dog, while being free to experience one of CDMX’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
9. Fiesta Inn Aeropuerto CD Mexico
If you have an early flight, Fiesta Inn Aeropuerto is one of the most convenient places to stay near Mexico City’s airport. I’ve spent a few nights here while transiting through the city, and they are always friendly and welcoming to both me and Puglo. The free airport shuttle makes getting to and from the terminals easy, and the complete breakfast buffet is a nice perk before or after a long travel day.
Their Dog Friendly program adds to the appeal. When you check in, your dog gets a welcome kit with a bed, a mat, and two bowls. They allow either one small or medium dog up to 20 kilograms, or two dogs with a combined weight of 20 kilograms. There is an additional nightly fee of 990 pesos plus tax, which covers your dog’s stay and special cleaning of the room.
Dogs need to stay in your room or in the designated pet areas and must be leashed in common spaces. Pets are not allowed in the restaurant, pool, gym, or event areas, but the hotel’s layout makes it easy to take them out for quick walks. Fiesta Inn Aeropuerto isn’t a luxury stay, but it’s a practical, comfortable choice that makes airport travel with a pet much less stressful.
10. Downtown Mexico
If you’d prefer to stay in the heart of the city, Downtown Mexico is a great pet-friendly option. Located in the historic center, it’s just steps from iconic sites like the Zócalo, Palacio de Bellas Artes, and Torre Latinoamericana. Staying here means you’re immersed in Mexico City’s vibrant core, with easy access to cafes, galleries, and cultural landmarks, all within walking distance.
This boutique-style hotel blends bohemian elegance with historic charm, set within a beautifully restored building. I haven’t stayed here with Puglo yet, but I love the idea of a place with character, courtyard gardens, a rooftop terrace with a pool, and a social vibe that feels both artistic and energetic.
The pet policy is simple and welcoming. Dogs and cats are allowed for a fee of $50 per pet, per night, with a maximum of two pets per room.
